1. Definitions

For the purposes of these Terms & Conditions:

  • “Logic Lounge”, “we”, “our”, “us” means Logic Lounge Pty Ltd.
  • “Client”, “you”, “your” means any individual engaging with Logic Lounge services.
  • “Services” means psychological treatment, assessment, consultation, or related support provided by Logic Lounge.
  • “Practitioner” means a psychologist or authorised clinician working with or for Logic Lounge.
  • “Fees” include all session fees, cancellation fees, administrative fees, and documentation fees.
  • “Documentation” means letters, reports, assessments, forms, or summaries prepared by Logic Lounge.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By booking or receiving services, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

3. Service Provision & Limitations

Services are delivered in accordance with the APS Code of Ethics, AHPRA standards, and Australian law.

4. Client Responsibilities

Clients must:

  • Provide accurate and honest information
  • Attend scheduled appointments or provide adequate notice
  • Treat all staff respectfully
  • Meet all financial obligations
  • Communicate appropriately and safely

5. Cultural Safety & Inclusive Practice

Logic Lounge is committed to culturally safe, inclusive, and respectful practice in accordance with:

  • AHPRA’s Cultural Safety Guidelines
  • The APS Code of Ethics
  • National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Strategy

Clients must not engage in discriminatory, racist, culturally unsafe, or oppressive behaviour. Such behaviour may result in the modification or termination of services.

6. Client Conduct Requirements

Prohibited behaviours include:

  • Abuse, threats, intimidation, or harassment
  • Attempts to influence or coerce a practitioner’s clinical judgment
  • Vexatious or malicious complaints
  • Excessive or unreasonable communication
  • False, misleading, or defamatory statements

Breaches may lead to immediate termination of services.

7. Right to Refuse, Suspend, or Terminate Services

Logic Lounge may refuse, pause, or terminate services where:

  • Behaviour is unsafe, inappropriate, or violates staff boundaries
  • Services are clinically inappropriate or unethical
  • Fees remain unpaid
  • Repeated no-shows occur
  • Legal, ethical, or operational risks exist

Termination may occur without notice in severe cases.

8. Fees, Payments & Outstanding Balances

Clients agree to pay all applicable fees. Outstanding balances may result in:

  • Suspension of services
  • Cancellation of appointments
  • Debt recovery action
  • Legal action for unpaid debts

9. Cancellations & No-Shows

Late cancellations or non-attendance incur standard fees.
Repeated no-shows may lead to suspension or refusal of future services.

10. Clinical Independence

Clinical opinions cannot be altered upon request. Unethical documentation requests will be refused.

11. Release of Documentation

Documentation will be released only when:

  • All fees are paid in full
  • Requests are clinically appropriate
  • Content meets ethical and professional standards

12. Complaints & Regulatory Interaction

Malicious or unfounded complaints may result in termination of services. Clients must not misuse regulatory bodies to intimidate or harass staff.

13. Legal Action

Legal action may be taken in circumstances involving:

  • Defamation
  • Threats or harassment
  • Non-payment
  • Unlawful conduct

14. Privacy

Personal information is handled under the Logic Lounge Privacy Policy.

15. Amendments

Terms may be updated at any time. Continued use constitutes acceptance.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
