Fees and insurer funding

WorkCover psychology fees and funding

Know who is paying before you attend. We check the referral, service and funding arrangements and explain any personal cost.

Approved treatment

Insurer funding is checked, not assumed.

When treatment is approved and billing is agreed, we invoice the insurer under those arrangements. A claim number, GP referral or online booking alone is not proof of funded sessions.

What we check with you

  • The claim and the treating psychologist.
  • The service, approved sessions, dates and conditions.
  • Any documents still needed and any personal fee before you agree.
The figures below are published NSW scheme maximums, not a personalised quote or a promise of treatment approval. Actual billing depends on the item, time and applicable requirements.

Published NSW psychology fee limits

Waiting for approval?

Ask us to check the situation before attending. Limited exceptions to prior approval may apply, but we do not advertise a guaranteed number of free sessions. Private payment does not guarantee later reimbursement.

Reports or assessments?

These are not automatically included in routine therapy. We confirm the purpose, consent, practitioner and any required insurer approval before accepting the work.

Reports and case conferences

Cancellation and private fees

Ask about the appointment's cancellation terms when booking. Contact us as early as possible if you cannot attend. Do not assume the insurer pays cancellation or missed-appointment charges.

If WorkCover funding is unavailable, we can discuss other payment options. We explain the applicable fee and referral requirements first. The same service must not be billed to both the insurer and Medicare.

Let's work out the next step.

Tell us where you would like to attend and whether you have a referral or treatment approval. We will explain what is needed.
