Start with what is happening now
You do not need to know the name of a therapy before contacting us. Tell us whether you are looking for help after a workplace incident, ongoing stress, or the emotional effects of a physical injury. We can explain the next steps without asking you to retell everything on the phone.
If work is affecting your health, speak with your GP. They can assess your symptoms, discuss treatment and help with the medical information needed for a claim.
Check the referral and funding
For a WorkCover enquiry, have your referral, claim number, insurer or claims manager details and any treatment approval ready. A claim number alone does not tell us that psychology sessions are funded.
Our team checks the practitioner, the service requested and the payment arrangements. Limited exceptions to prior approval exist, but they depend on your circumstances. We explain any personal cost before you agree to an appointment.

Use our practitioner directory or Find Your Psych tool to compare locations, languages and areas of practice. The tool narrows profiles using your preferences. It does not diagnose you, decide your claim or show live appointment times.
Sessions may be in a Sydney clinic or by telehealth when appropriate. Tell us about access needs. Hornsby and Drummoyne have stairs-only access.
Find a psychologistYour first appointment
Your psychologist will ask about your health, work, daily life and what you would like help with. You can ask questions, take a break and say when something is difficult to discuss. The first appointment is also a chance to decide whether the approach feels right.
Together you will plan the focus of treatment. Goals might include sleeping more consistently, managing reminders of an incident or rebuilding everyday routines. There is no promise of a fixed recovery date.
Review the plan as things change
Your psychologist reviews progress with you. When more funded treatment is needed, they may prepare an Allied Health Treatment Request for the insurer. A request is not the same as approval.
With appropriate consent and where required, your psychologist can share relevant treatment information with your GP, insurer or rehabilitation provider. Ask what will be shared and why.
